About Me
I am an accessible web and multimedia developer based in Newcastle in the North East of England. I specialise in producing standards compliant, cross browser websites using a selection of lanaguages and packages.
I currently work for Tyne & Wear Museums as their website officer.
If you would like to find out about what I do there in a bit more detail please have a look at my cv or send me an email.
Programming
I spend quite a lot of my time at work programming and scripting in various languages. I work in a very small team so I find myself adapting to suit the needs of the current project. This keeps me on my toes.
I also spend some of my home time programming too, working on more experimental things that its not possible to do at work.
In the past year I have been coding (X)HTML, CSS, JavaScript, PHP, C, C++, Perl, ASP, XML, XSLT, VRML, SQL, Actionscript, Ruby and AJAX. Which is nice.
Music
I spend a lot of my free time involved with music. I sing and play rhythm guitar for Stunt, I am one half of Newcastle based experimental electronic duo, The Fishery Commission and I help out in a digital recording studio in Whitley Bay on the North East Coast.
I'm also learning to be a ProTools engineer through trial and error, which I find is a great way to learn.
